This Returns Policy applies to products bought from lifestyle-home and forms part of the lifestyle-home Terms & Conditions. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit your statutory rights in any way.

Return Products

You may return an unwanted or change of mind product to us within 48-72 hours of delivery (50% re-stocking fee applicable). This is only applicable to a standard product that is purchased from our catalogue (no change in colour, size or design). If it is manufactured to your specifications it will be non-refundable. Please note that the returns of unwanted or change of mind products will include a courier fee. You can return an unwanted product (non custom product) to us, given that:

  • It is undamaged and unused, with the original labels and stickers still attached;
  • It is in the original packaging, which must be undamaged and in its original condition with all seals still intact (if applicable).
  • It is not missing any accessories or parts;
  • Clearance Sale Items will be non-refundable; the items are sold as is.
  • There will be a 50% restocking fee as it has been manufactured for you, according to your requirements
  • It is your responsibility to get the item back to our distribution facility located at 46 Akasia Avenue, Gerhadsville, Centurion.
  • Once delivered, the delivery fee will not be reimbursed should you wish to return the product.

Should the item still be within the lead time that was stated on your invoice during the process of the sale, the deposit of the order will be forfeited should you cancel your order.

Wrong Order?

If we accidentally deliver the wrong product to you, or if the product does not match its description on the lifestyle-home website, please notify us and we will collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have reviewed the product and approved your return we will, as per your preference, deliver the correct product to you as soon as possible.

Products Damaged on Delivery

Should a product arrive damaged or be missing parts or accessories, please notify us within 7 days of such delivery by requesting a return on the lifestyle-home website. One of our lifestyle-home couriers will collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have reviewed the product and approved your return we will, as per your preference, replace the damaged product as soon as possible

Defective Products

At lifestyle-home we do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of a high quality and without factory defects.

What is a defect – A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances.

The following does not constitute a manufacturing defect and will not entitle you to a return:

  • faults resulting from normal wear & tear;
  • damage arising from negligence & incorrect usage of the product;
  • damages occurring from electrical surges or sea air corrosion; damage occurring from a failure to adequately care for the product;
  • damage occurring from unauthorized alterations to the product;
  • where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on lifestyle-home and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.
Refund Timeframe:

Refunds will be processed within 7-14 working days from the date the returned item is received and approved by our team.

Eligibility for Refund: To be eligible for a refund, the item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as you received it. It must also be returned within 3 days of the original purchase.

Initiating a Refund: To initiate a refund, please contact our customer service team. Provide your order number, a brief explanation of the reason for the refund, and any relevant photos if the item is damaged or defective.

Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item received is damaged, defective, or incorrect. In such cases, we will provide a prepaid return label.

Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. If the original payment method is not available, we will issue the refund in the form of store credit.

Non-Refundable Items: Certain items are non-refundable, including custom made furniture [furniture if colour is changed, size or design]

Once a deposit is paid and item processed for manufacturing, the deposit will be non-refundable and will be forfeited if the order is cancelled.

If an unwanted order is returned there will be a 50% re-stocking fee.

 

Custom Orders

Custom Orders, Cancellations and Refunds

Customised Orders
All items manufactured or customised by Lifestyle Home (“the Supplier”) in accordance with the client’s specifications, designs, or requests shall constitute a customised order as contemplated under Section 20(3)(b) of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“the CPA”).
Acceptance of Invoice and Commencement of Production
Upon the client’s written or verbal acceptance of the invoice or quotation provided, and upon payment (whether deposit or full payment) being made, the Supplier shall be deemed to have received a binding instruction to commence procurement of materials and/or the manufacturing process.
Cancellation by Client
Should the client, after acceptance of the invoice and after procurement of materials and/or commencement of the manufacturing process, elect to cancel the order for any reason, the following shall apply:
The client acknowledges and agrees that all materials procured and labour undertaken towards fulfilment of the order are solely for the client’s customised product and cannot reasonably be reused, resold, or repurposed.
Accordingly, the client shall remain fully liable for all costs incurred, including (without limitation) materials, labour, and administrative expenses, up to the date of cancellation.
Refunds and Offsetting
In the event that the client requests a refund after cancellation, any refund due (if applicable) shall be offset against the value of the materials and labour already utilised in the manufacturing process.
Where the costs incurred are equal to or exceed the amount already paid by the client, no refund shall be due, and the client shall forfeit any amounts paid.
Where the costs incurred are less than the amount paid, the Supplier shall refund only the difference, after written confirmation and approval of such calculation.
Acknowledgement
By proceeding with acceptance of the invoice and/or payment thereof, the client expressly acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this clause in its entirety.
